When installing a Compustar Drone DR-3100 with an iDatalink Mercedes Remote Start do the following:
- Activate the Drone DR-3100 through the DEALER ACTIVATION PORTAL.
- After that plug in the DR-3100 to the BLUE PORT on the iDatastart module
Important Message
Attention: dealers and technicians use the Grey ports on the new FT-7 series controllers for Drone Mobile communication. The grey port is connected directly to the processor and has better communication.

Go to www.ap-locatus.com
Click create an account if you dont have one already
Log in
Create customer account
Locate sim number for unit you are installaing
Enter sim card on activation page(Do not include the F at the end of the sim number
Click the activate button
You will see the SIM number, PIN number and the Status of the activation
Write the pin number down it will be used to add the vehicle after hardware install
Once hardware is installed go to profile on the main menu and select Manage Vehicles
Click add new
Enter info in the required fields ( When entering sim number leave out the last F)
Click Save and make sure car has been added to car list
Click on Home button on the main menu
Test all the controls to ensure proper functionality

4. Directed / Viper SmartStart Activation Process
Go-tohttp://www.managesmartstart.com/install/login
SmartStart Activation link (for dealers only) - User Name: dei1, Password: dei1
Log in if you are set up already. If not Click Sign Up.
Your dealer needs to have the Air ID, customers email, mobile number and cellular carrier handy.
Tech must make sure that both green and amber led lights are lit solid, not blinking...pretty simple and straight forward from there

- After that plug in the DR-3100 to the BLUE PORT on the iDatastart module
